How do I apply filters to my uploaded image?

Just upload your image, choose the filter and save it. Its that easy. You can even upload your image directly from Instagram, Facebook and Google Plus. We can paint almost every filter so let your imagination go wild.

Photo filters?

We offer custom photo filters that transform the way your image looks and feels. Choose any photo filter, adjust the filter settings and save it. You create the masterpiece and we'll paint it on canvas.

After I place my order how long will it take to receive my painting?

All orders are painted per order. Paintings are shipped approximately 8 to 12 business days after order is placed. 

 

For custom orders, the total turnaround time(without modifications) from the time you upload the photo to the time you receive the finished painting will generally be between 14-21 days. Every time there is a modification please add 3 days to this time frame. 

Can I combine multiple photographs into one painting?

You can combine as many photographs as you want. Just give us detailed instructions explaining the layout in the comments section when placing your order. We will then digitally combine these photos and email you the layout. Once you approve the layout our artists will begin your painting. In addition to combining photos we can also modify the photo to remove subjects in the painting and change the backgrounds.      

Can I ship to a P.O. Box?

We can deliver packages up to 11" x 14" to P.O. boxes. Anything bigger will need to be delivered to an actual street address.

Can I upload or send low resolution images?

We prefer that your image is of the highest resolution possible, but since we hand paint your image this criteria is not too important. In the situtation where your image is too blurry or pixelated for our artists to paint we will contact you for a better image.

Do the product images on the site accurately represent the product that will be shipped?

Essentially, the artistic gems we offer are one-off masterpieces. The process by which we create our artwork is completely organic so not any two are exactly alike. Like fingerprints or slices of pizza, the painting hanging on your wall is truly one of a kind. From start to finish, each exceptional piece of artwork is thoughtfully hand-crafted by one of our artists at Project Picasso. In a world of high-volume production and mass consumption, we instead chose to go the old-fashioned way by leaving the machine out of the process. We only offer pieces that are wholly created by extraordinarily talented humans and by doing so, we are able to employ and sustain hundreds of artists worldwide. In the rare case that you are not satisfied with your order you can return it within 30 days for a full product refund.

Don't have a photo?

Using our Can Stock Photo link on the photo upload box you can purchase any medium size stock image (Medium JPEG) to use for your painting. We will refund you the price you paid for your photo. Just apply discount code CANSTOCK143 at checkout. With over 10,000 photos added each day, the possibilities are endless.

How come I don't see the option to order a custom painting on my phone or tablet?

At this time we are only accepting custom orders on the computer. If you want to place a custom order please visit our site on your PC or Apple computer. We are constantly making improvements to the site so please check back later for updates!

How do I cancel my order?

To cancel an order that has not yet shipped please contact us immediately. We are unable to cancel items that have already shipped. Items can also be returned for a full product refund within 30 days of the delivery date.

How do I clean and take care of my painting?

All paintings should be kept out of direct sunlight. If needed paintings can be dusted or lightly cleaned with a soft damp cloth using water only.

How do I send my photo?

We prefer that you upload your image on our ordering page, but there are situations where this might not work for you. If this is the case we accept photos that are emailed to us at handmade@projectpicasso.com. Please make sure to let us know in the comments section on the ordering page if emailing is your preferred method of sending the image. Also please make sure your image is in .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, or .tiff format and remember that the higher the image resolution the better the painting.

How do I upload my photo?

You can directly upload your image from your computer, Facebook, Instagram and Google Plus. Feeling a lazy? Just drag and drop your image into the photo bucket on the ordering page.  

How will my painting look when it arrives?

All orders will arrive rolled up in a tube unless a frame was purchased with the order. All customers have the option to have the painting rolled in a tube (free of charge) or gallery wrapped- the painting will be stretched over a wooden frame (additional charge). We will also be adding additional frame options in the near future so please check back with us. All framed paintings will come ready to hang with standard mounting materials. 

Is my image copyrighted?

It is your responsibility to determine if your image is copyrighted or not. You can not upload photos that are copyrighted unless you have the permission of the copyright owner. Please contact us if you need any help determining the copyright. We are always here to help.

Is my personal information protected?

We absolutely do not share any personal information with anyone. All information processed on our site is through a secure server.  

What does your guarantee include?

When our artists are done masterfully hand painting your image one of our elves will send you high resolution images of your completed painting for review. See something you want changed? Just tell us and we will make as many changes as needed to insure that you are 100% satisfied. At the end of the all revisions if you are still not satisfied you have the right to cancel the order and receive a full refund. In the event that you are not 100% happy with your painting after the delivery date you have 14 days to contact us for a full refund.  

What forms of payment do you accept?

You can either pay for our services with a credit card or through PayPal. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Your information is always protected(our server automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits-the highest level commercially available).

What if I am not pleased after the inspection?

After inspecting the painting and you are not satisfied you can ask for modifications. We will keep modifying your painting until you are completely satisfied at no additional charge. If in the end you still are not satisfied you have the right to cancel the order and receive full refund. In the event that you are not 100% happy with your painting after the delivery date you have 30 days to contact us for a full refund.  

What if I have a special request after I have already submitted my order?

Please contact us immediately once you decide you want to add a special request. Please provide your order number and a detailed description of the special request. A Project Picasso team member will contact you shortly regarding your changes. We will not charge any additional fees for this request. All other special request should be requested in the comments section on the ordering form. 

What if I want a customized size?

We will paint any image in any comparable size at no additional costs. When ordering choose the size with the closest dimensions to your customized size. At the end of your order tell us the exact dimensions in the comments section and a Project Picasso team member will contact you to finish the rest of the process.

We can paint any image on any canvas arrangement that you want. After uploading your image choose from one of our four canvas layouts. If you do not see the layout that you want just let us know in the comments section on the ordering page and a Project Picasso team member will contact you.

What if my painting comes damaged?

Please contact us if your painting is lost in the mail or is received damaged and we will immediately start and send you a new painting. We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee policy. The order is never complete until you are fully satisfied.

We commission only the best Art University graduates in the countries that we sponsor to paint your image. We choose to work with these artists because they are the people that need our help the most. They are literally the stereotype of a "starving artist", but by providing sustainable work for them to earn a living from their creative talents we at Project Picasso hope to eliminate the burden they face when they are going through periods when they are not selling any artwork at all. Along with being the highest paid artists in their community, they pick their own projects and work from the comfort of their own homes.
